As you can see I enjoy showing off pictures of my beautiful breathe taking Ragdolls. My name is Anne Paul, originally from Houston, Texas, but I married a Louisiana boy, and I have lived in Westlake, Louisiana for over 20 years. Additionally, I am a former student of Texas A & M University , where I majored in Finance & Economics. Eric (my husband) and I have six children, Mo (24), Nathan (20), James (18), Katie (15), Christie (12) and the late life baby Zack (8). In addition to raising six children, I own & broker the real estate company, Properties by Town & Country, LLC located in Westlake, Louisiana that specializes in foreclosure property and contracting government work. Therefore, I look forward to coming home to a house full of children and Ragdolls, who act like human children everyday. A few weekends a month, the children and I go to the TICA cat shows throughout the USA lower 48 states and most recently went to Alaska, where Fire Dancing Cochise became a Supreme Grand Champion.
In addition to cat shows, my life is filled with events of the children. Traveling to dance competition with the girls or football / baseball games with the boys. We are also members of St. John Bosco Catholic Church.
Often people ask me why I chose to breed and show Ragdolls with such a full life already, and there are several reasons. In the early 1980's, my mom introduced me to Ragdolls, and it was always a breed she wanted to become involved with after she retired as a nurse. I was always in love with the breed for many years, but always was saving a stray or helping with finding an abandoned kitty a good home. However, my mom never got her Ragdolls as she was diagnosed with cancer just after retiring. After she passed in the first week of January of 2005, my daughter Christie asked me for a Ragdoll to love since Maw-Maw would not be here to love anymore. I told her that was a great idea, and then it began. We got a Ragdoll named Sammy from Emily Hiscott / Emily's Ragdolls in Sugarland, Texas, and I was immediately intoxicated by this breed. Sammy was unlike any cat I had ever had in my life. He was soft like Rabbit's Fur, big healthy bones & muscles, docile, intelligent, playful, and he truly loved the family. It was a fight to hold the Ragdoll between Christie and I as well as the rest of the family. So the mania began, Eric & I agreed that this was a breed we wanted to become involved with by bringing more Ragdolls into our home to love, breeding the best standards of a Ragdoll, and showing our beloved kitty children. I owe many thanks to the breeders, who mentored me and helped me through the beginnings of Cajun Ragdolls. Thank you for intrusting me with your wonderful kittens: Emilys Ragdolls, Ritzyrags, Bamarags, and Lonerock.
